I grew up in Southeast Brabant, in Asten to be precise (The Netherlands). My parents took me to nature early on to take many walks. And that has given me a good basis. In South Limburg, but also near my hometown. Around Asten there is a relatively large amount of nature with each its own character. We find the Strabrechtse heide in Lierop / Heeze, the Pan in Someren / Maarheeze, the Groote Peel in Asten, De Mariapeel in Griendtsveen / Helenaveen. But also in Limburg you can find fantastic nature parks such as De Hamert in Wellerlooi and of course South Limburg and the Voerstreek in Belgium (just below the south of Limburg). The Speulderbos in the Veluwe is also a favorite place.
I also focus on teaching the basic skills for nature photography and in particular landscape photography. I give workshops in the field of photography and one-on-one workshops in the field of post-processing in Photoshop of landscapes.
I shoot with Fujifilm X series. I currently use the Fujifilm X-T4, Fujifilm X100V and the Fujifilm X-T20 together with Fujinon lenses. Before this I worked with Nikon dSLRs and the associated lenses for 12 years. The last 6 years of that with the full-frame camera D800 from Nikon.
I use Benro's ND filters to control the light for landscape work, together with a Sirui carbon fiber tripod. Post-processing is done with CaptureOne, Photoshop CC and Luminosity Masks panels.
